About this event

  • 3 hours

A free, hands-on workshop hosted by The Meadows Community League and facilitated by Sisters Dialogue, a grassroots Muslim women's organization.

Sisters Dialogue aspires to provide culturally safe spaces and support for racialized Muslim women and girls through an intersectional, collaborative, and women-centered framework. (https://sistersdialogue.godaddysites.com/)

About the Event:

Being anti-racist is not a one and done process. It is a sharp learning curve that may have pitfalls along the way. How can one begin to be an anti-racist and a true ally to racialized folks and Muslim women? How do you recognise if sometimes your actions, however well-intended, may cause harm? Are you willing to confront your own biases and prejudices? How will knowledge change your perceptions?

A DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) consultant will facilitate a workshop to create awareness on racism, Islamophobia and how to be an ally. Muslim women from Sisters Dialogue will provide personal stories of their experience with racism and Islamophobia.

Facilitated By:
